Animal Control & Removal

Per university policy, no person owning or having under their control any animal, shall permit such animal to be brought upon university property without a leash suitably attached to the animal and with the leash held by the person having such animal under control.

  • To report an aggressive dog or in case of animal attack, call 911. If it is safe to do so, keep the animal in your sight until CSUPD and emergency responders arrive.
  • To report lost, stray, found, or injured animals, call CSUPD. Be cautious when approaching or handling lost, stray, found, or injured animals as stress can trigger them to bite or become aggressive. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or CSUPD.

To report wild or diseased animals, such as raccoons or bats, call Environmental Health Services at 970.491.6745. Never approach or handle a wild animal. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or CSUPD.

  • Don’t feed wild animals.

To report pests in or around buildings, call FM or follow department reporting procedures.
