The Clery Act
To ensure compliance with The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and Campus Crime Statistics Act (the Clery Act) the Clery Compliance Program Director, in conjunction with the Colorado State University Police Department and other campus partners, releases important information, including crime statistics and relevant policies to the university community.
The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report informs the university community about important procedures, policies, crime prevention programs and crime statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on our main campus, on our remote campuses around the state and the world, on non-campus properties owned or controlled by Colorado State University, and on public property surrounding or immediately adjacent to campuses.
Every university has campus security authorities as dictated by the Clery Act; security authorities are university officials (employee, student, or contractor) federally mandated with the responsibility to report crimes to the university that are reported to them.
